State delivers ComEd $239 million rate hike
Illinois utility regulators today granted Commonwealth Edison a $239 million rate hike for next year, as electric bills continue to rise to finance ComEd's legislatively approved, $2.6 billion grid modernization program.
The increase approved by the Illinois Commerce Commission was 13 percent below ComEd's request of $275 million.
The new power-delivery rates go into effect in January 2015
